Peak Performance
Center

In 1996, the center became a functioning training center for athletic performance. The 1996 Olympics were coming and athletes were busy training to be selected to be on the team. One athlete, Gary Hall, Jr. was referred to the center.

Dr. Ditson-Sommer began working with Gary to train his brain to function in the right hemisphere when competing. Daily training was selected. Learning positive affirmations, disregarding fears and other peak performance goals were rehearsed and learned. In Atlanta exciting results were taking place. Gary won the following medals:

SILVER MEDAL —50 METER FREESTYLE
SILVER MEDAL —100 METER FREESTLYE
GOLD MEDAL — 400 METER FREESTLYE
GOLD MEDAL — 400 METER MEDLEY — WORLD RECORD

The next Olympics brought more Gold Medals and several silvers. 2004, more medals to continue an illustrious career.

Johnathan Byrd, PGA golfer trained in the Peak Performance Center winning The Buick Open and The BK Open. He is still on the tour. Many junior golfers travel to Phoenix to work in the center. All in all, winning is the key to our training. Keeping a positive mental attitude and brain synchrony is the key to a successful competition in any sport

A unique program allows parents to travel to Phoenix for a weekend to be directed in the continuation of the mental training of their children thus allowing the parents to better understand the pros and cons of young athletic performances and the dangers of too much pressure. Contact the center for the next training time opening.

MENTAL COACHING

In the center we have approached brain plasticity training through mental coaching. We have 15 brain training stations to develop neurons and connect them for brain strengthening and neuronal growth. This practice is not reserved for the elderly but to all ages needing to start a brain training regimen to improve the functional capabilities and mental awareness resulting in the development of new abilities at any age.

For hundreds of years we believed that we died with the brain we were born with. This no longer is the case. Research has shown that new neurons can be developed and when connected with each other, new brain neurons are formed ready for action. In this way, mental coaching can provide positive approaches to the development of more useful brains with more positive thoughts It is important to remember that our thoughts influence our brain/body vibrations and act as building blocks for our minds.

The future of mental coaching is bright. More and more people will begin to realize that they have control over their destinies through strong mental abilities. Thus training coaches is a priority at the center. Programs that certify mental coaches involve many avenues and are available at different times in the center. It is possible to be certified in areas such as sensory integration, biofeedback, brain plasticity and others provide excellent careers for those looking for exciting and rewarding futures.
